Enraged Newville Man 'Waves Gun' At Tractor-Trailer Driver: Police

An argument in a central Pennsylvania roadway quickly escalated when a man pulled out a gun, police say.

Gary Allen Horick Jr., 43, of Newville, got into a fight with tractor-trailer driver on Tuesday, August 16, according to a release by the police.

Police were called to reports of him "waving a firearm around in the intersection of Main Street and High Street in Newville Borough," as stated in the release.

Following an investigation he  is believed to have started the verbal argument and then pulled out the gun. It is unclear if this is a road rage incident.

Horick was arrested and charged with Simple Assault,  Terroristic threats, Possessing instruments of crime, and Harassmen, police say.

He was released on his own recognizance, court records show.

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams at 11:45 a.m. on August 25, according to his court docket.
